Suukti — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Suukti is a voice-dictation app for macOS made by Accenator LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what Suukti does — and does not do — with your information. The short version: Suukti runs entirely on your Mac, and we do not collect any of your data.
The short version
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your data. Suukti has no user accounts and no servers that receive your content.
- Your voice and transcripts never leave your device. Speech is transcribed on-device and is never recorded, uploaded, or sent to us or any third party.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Suukti contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- Our business is software, not your data. We make money from the app itself — never from your information. You own everything you create with Suukti.
What Suukti accesses on your device (and why)
- Microphone. Suukti captures audio only while you are actively dictating (when you press its shortcut). That audio is transcribed into text on your Mac and is never recorded to a file, stored, or transmitted off the device. When you finish, the audio is discarded.
- Accessibility permission. macOS requires this permission for Suukti to insert your finished text into the app you are using (by simulating a paste). It is used solely to place your dictated text at your cursor — nothing else. Suukti does not read, monitor, or collect content from other apps.
Data stored on your device
- Dictation history (optional). If you enable history, Suukti saves your recent dictations as plain-text files in the app's private container on your Mac. This history is never uploaded or synced to us or to any cloud service. You control how long it is kept (a short retention period by default) and can clear it at any time in Settings. Turning history off stops any saving.
- Preferences. Your settings (shortcut, toggles, etc.) are stored locally on your Mac.
Because all of this lives only on your device, deleting the app removes it.
Speech models
On first launch, Suukti downloads its on-device speech-recognition models from a public model host (Hugging Face). This is a one-way download of the model files to your Mac — no personal data or audio is uploaded in the process. (As with any internet download, the model host receives your device's IP address in transit — standard for any web request; it does not receive your voice, transcripts, or any Suukti content.) After this one-time download, transcription works fully offline.
On-device text cleanup (optional)
If you enable cleanup/formatting and your Mac supports Apple Intelligence, Suukti uses Apple's on-device language model to tidy your text. This processing happens locally on your Mac through Apple's system framework; your text is not sent to us. Apple's handling of its on-device models is governed by Apple's own privacy terms.
Third parties
Suukti does not share your data with third parties, because it does not collect your data. There are no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services in the app.
Children
Suukti is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone (we collect no personal information at all).
Your control
- Enable or disable dictation history, and set its retention, in Settings.
- Clear your dictation history at any time in Settings.
- Revoke Microphone or Accessibility permission at any time in macOS System Settings.
- Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
Security
Because Suukti processes and stores everything on your own device and we operate no servers that receive or hold your content, there is no central store of your dictations, audio, or personal information for us to lose, leak, or have breached. Data you create with Suukti is protected by your Mac's own security (your user account, disk encryption, and similar), which is under your control.
No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure. While Suukti is designed to keep your data local, we cannot guarantee that data stored on your device is immune from unauthorized access, and — to the fullest extent permitted by law — we are not responsible for unauthorized access to, loss of, or disclosure of data resulting from factors outside our control, such as your device being lost, shared, or otherwise compromised. See also the Limitation of Liability in our Terms of Use.
Your privacy rights (California / CCPA & EU / UK GDPR)
Because Suukti collects no personal information and we operate no servers that store your data, in most cases there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, delete, or export — your data lives only on your device and is fully under your control (see "Your control" above; deleting the app removes it). To the extent these laws apply:
- California (CCPA / CPRA): We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not collect categories of personal information through the app.
- EEA / UK (GDPR): The data controller is Accenator LLC. Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection are satisfied by the on-device controls and by deleting the app. If you believe we hold any personal data about you, contact us (below) and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the current version at this URL. If we ever add features that send your content off your device (for example, an optional model that uses a third-party or cloud service, or the ability to connect your own AI provider with an API key), we will update this policy first and make that clear to you before you use such a feature.
